It's held in place by the two middle upper panels forcing the window panels outwards and creating a snug fit, preventing the panels from moving around. In other words, the panels are designed to be so well fitting, that we do not need to fix into the vehicle anywhere, in order to secure the system. It's easy to remove this system if you have a requirement to do so, but often it can stay in place day to day, as it does not sit low enough to encroach on the rear space by much. Despite this, it provides a fantastic amount of storage space for coats, blankets, dog items, walking shoes, boots, overlanding equipment, oil bottles, fuel canisters (it fits 5L containers with ease). We now use new locks that are much more secure and black instead of brushed metal. It contains two spacious drawers with each able to hold 100kg each, with durable black metal latches that are also lockable. To the left hand side, there is a pull out sliding tray on runners for a cool box. We put our 75L Mestic cool box in ours. It’s a dual zone, so fantastic for storing meat once processed, or even after shot. When you’re out or a long day, it’s important to be able to keep the meat cool, as to not waste the animal. There is then space above the drawers with tie down points to enable you to store other items; we store our Cook Box from Escapade 4x4. Both of the drawers and the sliding tray have locking systems built in place also, so you can lock them out. The centre divider and Cargo sides also allow you to tie items to the side, we use Velcro straps to attach things like our vacuum packer and first aid kit. The list is endless.
